Thursday, January 23, 2014 Preparing for CNY (Nails)

Chinese New Year is approaching in about a week's time and I know that there are many nail salons which are already fully booked! Don't fret, this would be a good recommendation to those who can't find a decent nail salon in time or may be too busy to book an appointment! Last but not least, for those who would like to save money as well because you know, gelish nail designs can easily cost up to SGD$70 and above.

For me, I fall under the 'too busy to book an appointment' category and I chanced upon Maybelline's Colour Show, nail polishes!

I have listed the individual links below for your convenience:

Ladies Night (006) -
Wine & Dine (005) -
Silver Linings (007) -
Dowtown Red (216) -

Goodbye, ugly nails!

Time to remove my nails colour and file them nicely

I'm using O.P.I nail envy as a base coat

Almost completed!

Last but not least, finishing it off with a top coat and I'm using Seche Vite's one

I just want to quickly say that I am really impressed with these nail polishes because I swear, for the price I've paid (SGD$6.90 per bottle), it's incredibly pigmented. It's opaque after one coat but I'm so used to applying two coats so I did it anyway (If that makes any sense haha) If you are looking for a bright red nail polish (in conjunction with CNY & Valentine's day), you should definitely pick up 'Keep Up The Flame':

You can get your hands on them at: and Luxola provides free next day delivery for any order above SGD$10! Or you may wish to purchase them from Sasa too!

P.S This is not a paid review and all opinions are 100% honest from me
