Last December, boyfriend and I travelled to Kuala Lumpur for a short 3D2N trip! Our flight was 6am in the morning which means we have to be at the airport at 4am, resulting with only 2 hours of sleep. Crap but kudos to the boy who survived with no sleep at all!
Breakfast before boarding and by the way, Burger King has the best onion rings, in my opinion!
Did research about travelling from Kuala Lumpur's airport to the city and we took the express train!
Upon reaching KL Sentral, we bought taxi coupons from the counter which cost $13 Ringgit (SGD$5) and somehow got conned. We didn't know which taxi to take and a guy told us to hop on to his cab. Even showed him the taxi coupon before hopping on to make sure everything is fine!
Until we reached our destination, he acted blur saying,"No..... your taxi coupon is not valid for premier taxi (Blue taxis) This taxi coupon is valid for the budget taxi"! (Which is something like our Comfort in Singapore but a little rundown). He was right about the taxi coupon issue but he could have told us from the start that it's not valid since we showed him the taxi coupon from the beginning? We ended up paying extra $27 Ringgit (SGD$10) -.-
Left our luggages at the concierge and went off to explore!
Chilled at Starbucks since we had a couple of hours to spare before checking in.
Can I just say that Starbucks has really tasty chips!? #justsaying
We were bored to death and decided to try our luck to return back to the hotel, to see if our room was ready and yes it was! Yay to early check in and by the way, KLCC Impiana Hotel service is excellent. The staffs quickly showed up with cold ginger tea and cold towel for all check-in guests to freshen up! Check-In procedure was a breeze too :)
Don't be fooled by the poor lighting guys, it's actually really bright in real life considering I didn't switch on one lamp and the way I edited the photo as well. Chose this hotel partially it has wooden flooring which I love and it's spacious for two.
The bathtub was our bestfriend throughout our entire stay.
Freshen up by having a bubble bath before calling for room service :)
They serve the best caesar salad ever!
Well, we expected the portion to be small but it wasn't and it was extremely tasty for our tastebuds. And a comforting mushroom soup after a tranquil bubble bath. I would return back to this hotel for their caesar salad, not even joking.
That boy had a little snooze for two hours and I just had to drag him out of bed because one thing I know for sure if I don't do that, he will sleep till the next afternoon. Such a sloth.
All the Christmas decorations made me really happy!
Settled down for dinner at Watami which is also available in Singapore and we didn't regret it, not even a bit.
All these for SGD$48 which is extremely worth it considering we ordered quite a few platters.
A really nice waiter even volunteered to take a photo for us :)
Headed back to our hotel and received little treats from the staffs! Isn't it adorable and such a sweet gesture at the same time!? I literally squealed upon seeing it and kept asking the poor boyfriend if it's edible (Cause it seriously looks like an eraser -.-) Even made him a 'guinea pig' before I was 100% assured that it was edible, heh! ;)
Our initial plan was to head to a bar at Pavilion to celebrate NYE but it was fully packed by the time we head out again so we went to the hotel's club instead.
Fun filled night but had to leave around 2am+ cause I was so tired to the extend I can just sleep right away even with the loud music going on. Oh and you know what's the best way to sober up? Fill up your bathtub with hot water and rest for an hour or so. It seriously helped!
DAY 2
Had an amazing 8 hours of sleep which wasn't enough for the sloth obviously but he had to get up anyway!
Took a train to Berjaya Times Square!
& this was the highlight for the boy (Pretty self explanatory)
Boyfriend's favourite, not mine! Kept my eyes shut all the way
This was my favourite ride and we kept laughing throughout the entire ride haha! These are the only pictures I took as all belongings have to be kept in a locker :(
Also, the last ride we took was hell. I have pretty bad motion sickness and sat on a particular ride which kept spinning for 15 or 20 minutes?! It seriously went on for that long. That's a torture. I was on the verge of vomiting but had to suppress my vomit no matter what because I was wearing a white top and wouldn't want to make a mess or a fool out of myself anyway!
YAY managed to conquer it and silly me wanted pink candy floss to quell the bad nausea -.-
So guess who vomited pink vomit?

No award for guessing it right by the way but seriously, I stared blankly at my own vomit for at least 20 seconds and laughed it off -.-
Next stop - Chinatown!
These coffee buns were such a big hit in Singapore a few years back but I still love it anyway! Theirs was cripsy on the outside, soft on the inside!! The butter literally melts in your mouth as well :)
Headed for a foot massage which is run by a really nice China lady. They tried to upsell but wasn't pushy after a few rejections which I sincerely appreciated. Love foot massages!
Found this authentic claypot rice at the roadside which we fell in love with!
Took a slow walk from Chinatown back to our hotel (Thanks to boyfriend's navigation skills) Wouldn't have made it if I was alone, duh. But I love slow walks like this, we can just keep walking and talking about anything & everything ♡
Day 3
Our last day here!
Randomly tried this shop's chicken rice as majority were locals so immediately we thought that it would be good but it was just mediocre. It's located near Sungei Wang by the way.
Actually, the boy was looking for his favourite duck noodles stall but only found it after having our lunch. Well, we'll be back next time! ;)
Did quite an amount of shopping thus no pictures and ending this post's with a photo of my favourite artist. Tyler ward!!
Go check out his YouTube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TylerWardMusic
3D2N is definitely not enough to cover Kuala Lumpur as I had to miss out on the popular restaurants / cafes / roadside stalls which wasn't located near our hotel because my main idea of this trip was to check out the popular shopping malls and my conclusion is, there really isn't much to buy from there except for the fact that I scored a few nice sweaters from Sungei Wang which would put into good use for my upcoming trip next week.
Overall, it was a really nice getaway with the boy to celebrate NYE together and to recharge ourselves for the new year. Isn't it scary that we are already in February now?
