Chinese New Year is approaching in about a week's time and I know that there are many nail salons which are already fully booked! Don't fret, this would be a good recommendation to those who can't find a decent nail salon in time or may be too busy to book an appointment! Last but not least, for those who would like to save money as well because you know, gelish nail designs can easily cost up to SGD$70 and above.

For me, I fall under the 'too busy to book an appointment' category and I chanced upon Maybelline's Colour Show, nail polishes!

Here's my favourite bag at the moment which I got it from H&M for only SGD$17.90! What a steal! There's something about me and textures. So obviously, the textured leather caught my eye. 

My house's internet is driving me crazy by the way. It has a strong connection but due to the contractor inserting an 8way plug instead of 4way plug for my house. I'm losing a lot of unnecessary internet connectivity! In the process of getting it changed but in the meantime, I'll have to deal with the unstable connection. Which explains why I had to stay home and finish up my work on Friday & Saturday. 

Nonetheless, I managed to complete my work and went for a date on Sunday with the boy!

What's your favourite drink at Smoothie King? Mine's the Mango Festival and I love it :)

Went to town to accompany him to get his Chinese New Year clothes and once we were done shopping, it's dinner time. We were both starving and to be honest, over ordered a little. We seriously have to think twice before placing our order.

Monday, November 25, 2013 A Mini Haul

Last week was really stressful. The work that I had to complete was insane as it was 3x more than my usual weekly workload. To reward myself for completing my work, I went for a mini shopping trip and to restock on my monthly candles from Yankee Candle.  

H&M is well stocked up with pretty accessories at the moment so you can probably check them out!

My love for candles will never die. This month, I've picked up Summer Scoop! And since Christmas is coming, I've picked up Merry Marshmallow for a festive scent. (Also, started decorating my room with Christmas decorations and I'm just so excited about it!) This is the nicest Christmas scent, I feel. Because the rest were quite a letdown. Last but not least, I had to pick up Bahama Breeze in a bigger size this time because it smells seriously good! Not kiddin', 100% recommended :)

Soap & Glory's Shower Gel and Flake Away Body Scrub for a pampering bath session. I'll not recommend using it daily though as it can be too drying for the skin. For me, I'll use it 2-3 times a week. Followed by a body lotion afterwards which leaves your skin smooth and soft! :)

Gosh, this week has been extremely busy and the coming week too - bet it's gonna be insane! Doubling my workload for the coming week as Infinite Pixie will be closed from 30th Sept to 2nd October for a short break. I usually don't do short breaks unless I'm leaving Singapore for a work trip but this time, I'll be taking a few days off from work to accompany the boyfriend and spend as much time together before he leaves Singapore for almost a month. The thought of it just dampens my mood :(

Today, I'll be blogging about some of the beauty products I've purchased from Luxola.

Sigma's Limited Edition Resort Palette

Been eyeing on this palette for months but it consist of 3 bright colours that I'd usually avoid which is the reason why it stopped me from purchasing at first. Contemplated for months and watched numerous YouTube videos on the Resort Palette's tutorial before purchasing. 

This year, my goal was to say "Yes" to more things. Therefore, I'll learn how to apply those vibrant coloured eye shadows without looking like a fool. Haha, I'll try though! *crosses fingers*

This palette is perfect for staycation or holidays because it consist of 8 eye shadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter and 1 dual-ended eye liner pencil in Blue (Daydream) / Brown (Earth Goddess) as seen in the picture above.

Am super picky about brushes and I'll only use or purchase them if I genuinely like its texture. Was given a Sigma's sample brush when I first purchased from Luxola and I really like theirs! Thus, purchased 2 brushes for applying eye shadows and I hope it will not disappoint :) 

I don't own a lot of brushes as I said, I'm super picky about brushes. On top of that, my make up is pretty minimal. Thus, not a lot of brushes are required for my case. 

Sleek's Blush (Life's A Peach)

My first purchase from Sleek was Rose Gold (as seen on the left) and after Luxola updated me via email saying that 'Life's A Peach' has been restocked, I have to get it! Used it immediately on the next day and it's a natural blush colour. Sleek's blush is very pigmented so all's good! :)

My dresser post is still not up yet because I'm still not sure if I would like to film it into a video or updating them in pictures. So it's pending at the moment alright? I'll also be doing a room tour soon, once the full decoration of my room is completed. Because I still have a wall that's empty.
